Summer sounds Part 2 A roundup of music festivals throughout July

It's off to a good beginning, this thing called summer. The first big bumper crop of music festivals arrived ahead of the season itself, but who was complaining? At Bonnaroo, blazing sets by Lil Wayne and Eminem helped to break down barriers between rappers and rockers whatever barriers were left to start with.

In Colorado, the town of Telluride rang with the sound of bluegrass and roots music, ably assisted by Alison Moorer, Steve Earle, Robert Plant and his Band of Joy. And blues reigned supreme at Chicago's legendary blues festival, despite the absence of veterans Hubert Sumlin and David Honeyboy Edwards, no-shows due to illness.Oakey Replica Wholesale
What's next? Musically, the month of July takes its cues from the weather, getting hotter all the time. The Pleasantville Music Festival starts next week in New York state, the Hempstead World Music Festival kicks off on Saturday with performances in different Oregon cities; and the High Sierra Music Festival is on through Sunday in Quincy, Calif.

As we did last month, MSN offers a snapshot survey of what's coming up on the festival calendar, from the Essence Fest in New Orleans to the Pitchfork festival in Chicago, from the steeped-in-tradition Newport Folk Festival to the anything-but-tradition Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle. Summer's off to a good start. Rock on.Ray Ban Replica Wholesale
